Sufi Islamic Board Celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi in Bengaluru with Historic Message of Shia-Sunni Unity, Interfaith Harmony and Peace
Sarva Dharma Milad Conference at Hazrat Dargah Hazrath Kambalposh Calls for Eradication of Hate Ideology and Revival of Sufi Values
BENGALURU, KARNATAKA, INDIA — The Sufi Islamic Board celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi (the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad PBUH) with a grand Sarva Dharma Milad Conference at the historic Hazrat Dargah Hazrath Kambalposh, Shivaji Nagar, Bengaluru, bringing together Sufi scholars, religious leaders from different communities, devotees and members of the public in a powerful message of peace, unity and communal harmony.
The programme was led by Sufi Mansoor Khan, National President, Sufi Islamic Board, and Daulath Khan, Karnataka State President (Chairman), along with members of the Karnataka State Executive Committee. Religious heads and representatives of different communities were among the distinguished guests, giving the gathering a strong interfaith character.
The central message of the conference was clear: society must reject hatred and division and strengthen the universal values of Sufism—love, compassion, tolerance, mutual respect, service to humanity and peaceful coexistence.
Addressing the gathering, Sufi Mansoor Khan and Daulath Khan emphasized that the teachings associated with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) call upon people to uphold justice, compassion, dignity and peaceful relations among communities. They stressed the responsibility of religious and community leaders to prevent hatred from becoming a source of social division.
A Powerful Message of Shia-Sunni Unity
One of the most significant features of the programme was its message of Shia-Sunni unity. The organizers described the gathering as a significant milestone in bringing different traditions within the Muslim community together around the shared principles of respect, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence.
Rather than focusing on differences, the conference emphasized common spiritual values and the importance of standing together against hatred, intolerance and communal polarization.
The gathering also reinforced the broader Sarva Dharma message by welcoming religious leaders and representatives from different communities onto a common platform.
Sufism as a Bridge Between Communities
The Sufi Islamic Board reiterated that Sufi traditions have historically emphasized spiritual inclusiveness, service to humanity and harmonious relations between communities.
The Karnataka leadership called for greater interfaith engagement and urged society to collectively work towards eradicating ideologies of hate and strengthening India’s traditions of pluralism, fraternity and peaceful coexistence.
Prayers for Peace and National Integration
Special Dua was offered at Hazrat Dargah Hazrath Kambalposh for the peace and prosperity of India, national integration, communal harmony, the welfare of humanity and global peace.
A community welfare initiative was also organized during the programme, with Langar and food distribution for devotees and people in need.
National Anthem and Unity Song Mark Conclusion
The programme concluded on a distinctly national and unifying note with the National Anthem, followed by a Unity Song performed by renowned Sufi singer Tausif Ali Madari of Mumbai.
The concluding performance brought together the participants in a shared expression of patriotism, fraternity and national unity.
The organizers said that the event was not merely a religious celebration but a public reaffirmation of the values of “Unity in Diversity”, with the message that India’s strength lies in mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and the rejection of hatred.
Message to the Nation
The Sufi Islamic Board called upon religious leaders, civil society organizations and citizens to work collectively towards building a society where religious differences do not become barriers to friendship and national unity.
The conference concluded with a call to replace hatred with love, division with dialogue, intolerance with mutual respect, and confrontation with peaceful coexistence, while strengthening the compassionate and inclusive teachings associated with Sufi traditions.
The Sarva Dharma Milad Conference thus carried a simple but powerful message from Bengaluru to the nation:
“Eradicate the Ideology of Hate. Strengthen the Teachings of Sufism. Unite Humanity. Strengthen India.”
