State to Provide Free Coaching for UPSC Exams
Higher Education Department and SIAC Offer Training Opportunity for Eligible Students
MUMBAI: The State Institute for Administrative Careers (SIAC), operating under the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Mumbai, will conduct a Common Entrance Test (CET) on August 2, 2026. This exam is designed to select students for preparatory training for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2027.
Selected students will receive full-time, free coaching at various training centers across the state. This announcement was made by Chandrakant Dada Patil, the Minister for Higher and Technical Education. He further explained that under the Higher Education Department, SIAC Mumbai, along with other State Administrative Services Training Centers in Nashik, Kolhapur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Amravati, and Nagpur, will provide this free coaching.

Selection Process & Eligibility
Student selection will be strictly based on the marks obtained in the written entrance examination and subsequent interviews. Following the declaration of final results, candidates will have the facility to choose their preferred training center through an online portal.
