VK – Craft & Science Exhibition -23 organised by VK English School Govandi (managed by Shabana khan Academy in the heart of Mumbai slum area Govandi to provide limitless opportunities for creative minds. It was an initiative to bring forth our students’ innate skills and talent and hone their creative genius.

The Exhibition Ground was abuzz with excitement and fervour as it showcased the handicrafts of our students in their myriad hues. The display ranged from wooden art, Scientific working models, jewellery making, origami, card making, making designs on stones, splashes of vibrant hues, different types of paintings, sketched portraits, paper flowers, and eco-friendly material, which bring out the best creativity of our students. Students made vibrant wall hangings and mural paintings to embellish the whole arena.

The VK school Students presented many innovative scientific ideas, which left all the viewers dumb-struck and full of praise for the talent on display. The kids displayed their works compiled by their fostered creativity and enhanced skills. The exhibition provided the right platform for students to showcase the varied and beautiful and smart scientific articles done by them throughout the academic year.

The parents were delighted to watch the colourful displays of their wards and lauded the students’ efforts, who, under their teachers’ guidance, had put up a fantastic array of artifacts. The Principal Shabana khan and staff applauded the students for their creative flair, as such exhibitions motivate and instill confidence in young minds. The Chief Guest Honourable Sohail Khandwani sir- Chairman of Khandwani Group of companies, Honourable Saleem Sarang Sir – buisness Youth icon and successful Entrepreneur, honourable Saddruddin Khan – President of Sahyadri Foundation, Honourable Prof. Zeba Mallik Principal of Saboo siddiq college Honourable IAS Officer Shaffiuddin Siddiqui, secretary of General All India Board Maulana Allama Hasan Bunai and his team,Ex Education Officer – Prakash Charate more than 10 various school trustees and HM visited the exhibition appreciated the efforts put in by the students to make the event a grand success.

The students of Class 8 participated with great vigour and enthusiasm. The event was a great success in terms of creative presentation of each student living in slum areas where they stand as par with those students who study in international or CBSE school

Honourable MLA Abu Asim inaugurated the event and, along with School Chairman Mr Vakil khan visited the stalls and appreciated the efforts put in by the students in making the event a grand success. It was a humanitarian initiative to reach out and make a difference in society.
