Sunni Bilal Masjid Hosts Grand Release of 160 Books Celebrating 200 Years of Ala Hazrat Family’s Scholarly Heritage
MUMBAI / JUNE 15 — A special event was organized near Do Tanki at the Sunni Bilal Masjid to commemorate the 200-year celebration of the religious and jurisprudential (Ifta) services rendered by the family of Ala Hazrat. The event also marked the official launch and unveiling ceremony of 160 books and treatises.
Key Highlights of the Event
Presidency: The grand event was presided over by Peer-e-Tariqat Maulana Sayyed Moinuddin Ashraf Al-Ashrafi Al-Jilani (Moin Miyan).
Patronage: The ceremony was held under the patronage of Al-Haj Muhammad Saeed Noori, the founder of the Raza Academy.
Attendance: A large number of prominent Islamic scholars (Ulema) and religious leaders attended the gathering.
Two Centuries of Guidance
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Sayyed Moinuddin Ashraf (Moin Miyan) emphasized that for over two consecutive centuries, this noble family has provided profound religious and legal guidance to the Muslim Ummah. He noted that they have successfully resolved the religious issues of millions of Muslims in the strict light of the Quran and Sunnah. He further added that the academic, jurisprudential, and fatwa-issuing services of Ala Hazrat’s family stand as a bright and glorious chapter in the religious history of the South Asian subcontinent.

Launching a Global Movement
To mark the completion of these 200 years of service, Al-Haj Muhammad Saeed Noori formally announced the year-long bicentennial celebrations of the Ala Hazrat family’s Ifta services.

Global Appeal and Action Plan
On behalf of the Raza Academy, an appeal has been made to Muftis, Dar-ul-Iftas, Islamic seminaries (Madaris), religious institutions, and organizations to host the following programs on an international scale:
Two or Three-Day Jurisprudential (Fiqhi) Seminars: To be organized worldwide focusing on the historical fatwa services of Dar-ul-Ifta Bareilly Sharif.
Research Papers: Scholarly articles should be written analyzing the historical verdicts and fatwas.
Publications: Compilation and publication of books that highlight and appreciate the academic contributions of South Asian Muftis and researchers.
