Hassan Mohseni Fard, Consul General Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai Celebrates the 46th Anniversary of Islamic Revolution Victory

On the auspicious occasion of the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai hosted a grand reception at Taj Lands End.
The event brought together a distinguished gathering of government officials, diplomats, business leaders, media representatives, academics, artists, and cultural and religious figures to celebrate Iran’s National Day.
The evening showcased a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, highlighting Iran’s rich cultural heritage and technological achievements in fields such as aerospace, shipbuilding, nanotechnology, radiomedicine, and robotics.
Guests enjoyed a captivating traditional music performance by the renowned “Hegmataneh Group” and savored authentic Iranian cuisine.
In his keynote address, His Excellency Hassan Mohseni Fard, Acting Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Mumbai, highlighted Iran’s remarkable progress despite some challenges.
He emphasized Iran’s achievements in healthcare, education, and advanced scientific fields, including nanotechnology, biotechnology, stem cell research, humanoid robotics, and nuclear technology.
His Excellency also underscored Iran’s success in space technology, citing the design and launch of satellites such as Omid, Navid, and Zafar, and its advancements in shipbuilding.
Iran’s Chief of Mission to Mumbai reaffirmed the country’s commitment to peace, stability, and dialogue, advocating for cooperation among regional nations and beyond while upholding human rights and the protection of minority groups.
He identified fostering economic cooperation with Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa as a priority during his tenure, emphasizing the strong cultural and economic ties with the noble Marathi and Gujarati communities.
Her Excellency Ms. Manisha Mhaiskar, Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Protocol Officer, highlighted the ancient ties between Iranian and Indian civilizations, emphasizing the shared heritage of the Aryan people.
She recalled the significant official visits, including those of former Prime Minister Shri A. B. Vajpayee and Iranian President in 2003, as well as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit in 2016.
Ms. Mhaiskar noted the current bilateral trade volume of USD 2.3 billion and expressed optimism for its growth.
She also reminded attendees of the upcoming celebration of 75 years of diplomatic ties between Iran and India, looking forward to a century of
friendship and brotherhood.
