BMC Demolishes Unauthorised Dargah in Mumbai’s Aarey Colony Amid Tight Security

On the basis of Complaint filed by Former BJP MP kirit Domain Brihanmumbai Corporation carried out a demolition drive at Aarey Colony and razed illegal Dargha on Tuesday.
According to BMC official this Shrine was illegal build on BMC land,it was an Encroachment notices were sent to the trust to take down the structure sufficient time was provided to them but it was not pulled down.

While Speaking with Media persons Deputy commissioner of police Zone 12 ,” there was no law and order situation created because the entire Demotion Drive was done amid tight security all Roads were closed during the demolition and this Opration successful completed.
Aarey Colony security officer Vijay Wagh had alleged Dargah Trust used the electricity for the last 10 years.According to him over 77,000 units amounting to Rs 31 lkh had been drawn illegally from the electricity box near unit 32 in Aarey Colony.
