Jummu, J&K 14/Jan 2026, In a significant move towards strengthening disaster preparedness and response, the Post-Disaster Review Seminar was successfully organized by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (JkDMRRR).

The seminar focused on evaluating recent disaster response efforts, sharing lessons learned, and identifying strategies for improved disaster management in the future. Participants included officials from NDMA, JkDMRRR, local administration, emergency services, and other key stakeholders.
During the seminar, speakers emphasized the importance of continuous learning and proactive participation, reinforcing the principle: “Be the Change You Wish to Make.” Officials highlighted that positive contributions in disaster management should be ongoing, ensuring preparedness and resilience at all levels of society.
The collaborative session also featured case studies, expert presentations, and interactive discussions aimed at fostering a culture of preparedness and community engagement.
This seminar marks another step forward in enhancing disaster response mechanisms in Jammu & Kashmir, encouraging active participation from all stakeholders to build a safer and more resilient community.
