More than 600 Candidates selected & shortlisted at mega Job Fair held in Mumbra, Thane!

All India Memon Jamat Federation (AIMJF) and Andheri Halai Memon Jamat (AMJA) in association with Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) organized a mega Job Fair in Mumbra on Saturday, 10th February 2024, which was a huge success. The Job fair was conducted at Diamond Banquet Hall, Khadi Machine Road, Near St. Mary School, to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of Caste, Community and Creed.

There was a great response to the Job fair as more than 1500 Candidates turned up. More than 80 Corporates and Recruiters from across various industries participated in the Job Fair with more than 15000+ vacancies available for jobless youths. At the end of the day 141 Candidates were selected and more than 500 Candidates were Shortlisted.

Shri Jitendra Awhad, Deputy Leader of the Opposition Maharashtra Legislative Assembly & MLA from the Mumbra Kalwa assembly seat and his wife Shrimati Ruta Awhad, President, Sangharsh Foundation, were the Chief Guests at the event and inaugurated the Job Fair.

Shri Awhad was quite pleased to see the arrangements at the Job Fair venue and commended efforts of the organisers for providing job opportunities to the youth in Mumbra. He further said, “The jobs availability are at an all-time low in the last 70 years and may decline further. In such a scenario, the efforts by All India Memon Jamat Federation and Andheri Halai Memon Jamat in association with Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) is a welcome step in the right direction for the residents of Mumbra.”

Iqbal Memon Officer, President – All Indian Memon Jamat Federation said “We have been consistently working for Youth and Women empowerment and this Job Fair is small step in that direction. Our association with AMP and it’s President, Aamir Edresy has helped us fulfill our objective of providing jobs to youth.”

Razzak Chunawala, President-Andheri Halai Memon Jamat said “Mumbra has a lot of well qualified and educated people who don’t have proper jobs and their families have been suffering. Hence, we decided to hold the job fair in Mumbra so the Community and Society could benefit.”

Abdul Razak Shaikh, Head of Projects, AMP said “Association of Muslim Professionals believes that transformation can be brought in the society through Educational and Economic Empowerment. We try to empower the youth through Jobs, Skill Training & Livelihoods Assistance, so they can contribute significantly to the Nation’s growth story.

Iftekhar Bidkar, AMP core team member and the driving force behind the Job Fair said, “One of the objectives of AMP Job Fair is to provide Job opportunities to youth and help in making them self-sufficient. Our job fairs are open to candidates from all Castes, Creed and Communities, without any bar. So far we have been able to provide jobs to more than 45,000 youths all over India.”

The event was backed by very strong support from AMP Employment Assistance Cell (EAC), the local AMP team members including Altaf Dhalani, Corporate Trainer, Nazim Ansari, Social Entrepreneur and others. Yes, We Can Foundation, and Kalsekar Engg. College provided ample support through their team of volunteers who helped in Registration, Screening, Corporate & Queue Management. The Police personnel managed the crowd and traffic admirably.
